Reading Blog 3

In this blog, we were being taught about the history of net.art. One thing that facinates me the most is actually the very begginning of the paragraph that net.art is beginned by an accidental software bug. It makes me wonder how people begins the practice of 'art'. As we all know that the practice of art exists long before civilizations existed. Lots of cave paintings are discovered, trying to record stories and daily lives, were those paintings intially also accidents? Maybe someone was bored and randomly decided to use a rock to carve the wall and 'accidentally' created a human-shaped creature that he is willing to call this art 'himself'. Or maybe the desire of art is deeply carved into our DNA that human being are dedicated to drawn by it. If human were dedicated to art, then is the creation of net art really an accident? This is fascinating because it makes me think deeper about art. Not only art in its form of beauty and mystery, but its origin. What started art at the beginning and why human beings are so drawn to it that people are improving arts, exploring colors using centuries of time while art is not being a necessity of living. Or is art actually an necessity of live? This is a very good question to think about.
