Artist statement:

In this song, it is separated into 3 verses mainly. The name of the song is called 'The Flashback', and it is separated into 3 parts as well. The first part has a theme of creepiness and distortion, followed by the toilet flushing will lead the audience into the flashback of the protagonist in the song. It is supposed to sad and quiet, the ticking sound in the background are meant to create a sense of tension and I wanted the audience to feel the emotion of the protagonist, which is suppose to be grieving.

After the tension and the sad tone, the music moved towards a commercial music, this is the part where the protagonist is bringing the memories back to the daily lives, where the 'husband', the person who the protagonist lost, is still living with her. She is thinking back to all the daily moments with him, and trying to deal with the emotion of the lost.

The last part is when the protagonist come back from her flashback, she is awake because of the protest sound outside, the sound combined with phone rings makes her realized that her life must continue. But I intensionally added another phone ring at the end by itself, representing that the protagonist is still waiting for that phone call from her husband. That even she had overcome with the flashbacks, but she had not been completely done with the emotion just yet.
